It's sunday morning in the dining room. The mood is tense to say the least, who will finish breakfast in time to hang with Mia for the day?, Who will miss out and spend their day alone?. These were the questions on everybody's minds as they ate breakfast in silence, there was no time for meaningless conversation. Matthew had been waiting for his chance all weekend to hang with mia and saw this as his chance to finally fullfil his dream. Upon seeing that mia had taken a couple of pieces of toast matt's heart raced, he had filled his bowl almost to the brim with cornflakes! Matt cursed under his breath, "not again" he thought, as he had make this same mistake the previous morning. Matthew was not one to give up though, it was now or never, his whole life had been building up to this one moment, His goal was in sight, the path that was his life had met its most important fork. Matt grabbed his spoon, expertly rotating it into the shovel position, there was no time for scooping. One by one he shoveled spoonfuls of cornflakes into his mouth, a constant stream of milk running down his chin. The bowl seemed to last forever, and just when Matthew was about to give up, the image of Mia's face filled his vision. It was Matthews pure and unwavering adoration for Mia that helped him finish his cereal that day and as he tipped the last of his milk into his open mouth he knew that victory was in sight. Then, out of the corner of his eye Matthew saw that Henry had also finished his cereal and was taking his bowl to the kitchen to wash up. "I've come this far" thought Matthew as he fired his scuff in a great arc across the room towards Henry. Boom, the scuff made contact with the side of Henrys face causing him to drop his bowl with a loud crash. The whole dinig room was roaring with laughter, Matthew saw this as his chance and sprinted across the room to where Mia was just finishing his milk. "Haha did you see Henrys face?" said Matt, eager to start a conversation with his hero. "Yeah that was pretty funny, nice one matt". Matt's face was glowing, He knew this was going to be a good day.
Just what i heard.
Say what you will. That boy is good with a scuff.
